Shiitake
Mushroom Growing Plugs: Packaged in a
sealed bag with a filter patch. These hardwood spiral
plugs are inoculated with the WR 46 strain in our sterile
lab. This broad range Shiitake will fruit under the widest
range of temperatures. Use 30- 50 plugs per 4"x 5'
log. One of the easiest ways to grow your own fresh shiitake
mushrooms is with the plugs. You simply drill holes into
a fresh cut hardwood log and tap the plugs into the holes.
Place the log in the shade and water a few times a week.
Log will be fruiting in 6-9 months, depending on amount
of plugs used. Logs will produce for 3-4 years. You may
also force fruit logs, in which you can increase production
and know when your going to have mushrooms. When you force
fruit , your logs usually will be done with production
in less time. You will get the same amount of mushrooms
whether you force it or let nature give them to you. Comes

Oyster
Mushroom Growing Plugs "Pohu", "Phoenix",
"Summer Blue" or "Yellow" *:
Packed in sealed bags with a filter patch. These hardwood
spiral plugs are inoculated with the Poho, Phoenix,
Summer Blue or Yellow oyster strain in our sterile lab.
Use 30- 50 plugs per 4"x 5' log. One of the easiest
ways to grow your own fresh Oyster mushrooms is with
the plugs. You simply drill holes into a fresh cut hardwood
log and tap the plugs into the holes. Place the log
in the shade and water a few times a week. Log will
be fruiting in 6-9 months, depending on amount of plugs
used. Logs will produce for 3-4 years. You can use soft
woods as well, but production will be a bit less but
will fruit faster on softer woods.No pines or cedar
can be used. These are beautiful mushrooms. Grows in
clumps and shelf-like. Very good flavor, and not as
perishable as others. Dowels can also be used to inoculate
other substrates as well, straw, grains, newspaper etc.

after of all mushrooms.

patch that allows gas exchange but precludes the passage
of contaminants. Measuring19" x8 inches, with a
4 1/2" side gusset these bags are gusseted on both
sides, allowing them to hold more material. Up to 6
pounds! Widely used by mushroom growers throughout the
world. We use them for cultures and for growing oyster
with a straw mixture. We seal with an impulse sealer,
but many just tie to seal them. Reusable in some circumstances.

Injector Port Mushroom Spawn / Growing Bags
An autoclavable, patented spawn incubation bag with
a microporus filter patch. There are two types of patch
available: 0.05 that can be pre sealed before sterilizing
or a .2 that although you have to seal after, it is
very fine patch. great for those in less than ideal
conditions. Both patches allow gas exchange but preclude
the passage of contaminants All bags may be ordered
with either of the 2 types of patch..2 microns seal
out the most and are used for spawn, but we use them
to grow as well. If you seal before autoclaving, they
will burst..5 is coarser and it's primary use is for
growing but can be used for spawn. They are pre-sealable,
making them a great choice for those with no lab The
price is the same for either patch. If no specification
is given we will ship the .5 patch. Has an injector
port for syringe use.
